ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked “ court should be satisfied how can a government officer monitor the real estate business directly or indirectly.
IHC chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah took up for hearing the case against running housing societies by Intelligence bureau officers Thursday.
The court while accepting the plea from IB counsel seeking more time to file reply remarked “ satisfy the court a government officer can see real estate business directly or indirectly how.
The court inquired from IB Counsel can IB officers be involved in such business. What is this going on . This is a serious matter.
The court remarked Shahzad Akbar advisor to Prime Minister had also presented a report with reference to it. All the institutions are doing business of real estate. This is major clash of interests.
It may be mentioned that petitioner Sarang Khan has challenged appointment of coordinators of IB Cooperative Housing Society.
The court while summoning reply adjourned the hearing of the case till first week of January.
