Imran Khan arrest as per law: Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD, May 12 (Online): Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said Imran Khan arrest was as per law as he was facing charges of corruption.

In an interview she said Imran Khan always insulted the judiciary. He never upheld the law. He thinks no one can ask him. Such treatment should be given to Imran Khan which is meted out to common citizen.

We don’t believe in political revenge. If we were to arrest or silence Imran Khan we would not have waited for 14 months. Why we will want to get disqualify Imran Khan. Why any democratic government will want to do so, she remarked.

However Imran Khan arrested his political rivals during his government and sent them to jails. Imran Khan tried to stifle the voice of political leaders soon after coming to power, she added.
