Sheikh Rashid takes notice of day to day growing crimes in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD, December 30 (Online): Interior minister Sheikh Rashid has taken notice of day to day growing crimes in Islamabad and has tasked the police to nab the culprits as early as possible.

IG Police Islamabad has suspended two SHOs in an emergency meeting and given ultimatum 2 SHOs for arresting the accused within 72 hours.

A high level meeting was held under IG Police Islamabad here. DIG operations Waqar ud Din Syed, AIG operations, SSP CTD and other were in attendance

The meeting reviewed crime situation and IG Islamabad expressed annoyance over performance of police. SHO’S Golra and I-9 were suspended for poor performance. SHO Shams Colony and SHO Sabzi Mandi were given 72 hours to improve their performance.

Explanation has been sought from SPs and SDPOs from the areas where crimes have taken place.
IG Islamabad said addition force of police be deployed in all shopping centres and major markets.
