PML-N rejects Justice (Retd) Azmat Saeed appointment in investigating Broadsheet scandal

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (Online): PML-N has rejected the appointment of Justice (Retd) Azmat Saeed for probing into Broadsheet scandal.

PML-N spokesperson Maryam Auranzeb said investigating the matter by those who should have been investigated is murder of the justice. Imran should show courage and tell the people he needs NRO. Getting the matter investigated by former Deputy Prosecutor General NAB is bigger fraud than Broadsheet.

She said Justice (Retd) Azmat Saeed is a controversial person and he was among those who had executed the agreement. Sheikh Azmat Saeed was deputy prosecutor general NAB AND senior law officer when the agreement was signed.

She underlined that Imran Khan has proved no fair and transparent investigation can be conducted under selected PM. This appointment is in fact malafide intent of Imran Khan and his government.

This agreement caused loss to the tune of Rs 10 billion to people of Pakistan, she pointed out.

Justice (Retd) Azmat Saeed was deployed for making false cases against Nawaz Sharif and his family during Musharraf regime, she said.

She remarked that nation wants those who have looted the national kitty should be held accountable.
