Opposition parties seeking safe passage : Ch Sarwar


LAHORE, JAN 25 (Online): Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Monday reiterated that Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his term and now opposition parties are looking for a safe passage after they failed at every front.
During a meeting with provincial law minister Raja Basharat, Governor Punjab said that opposition’s desire to send government packing will not be fulfilled as public does not support elements who want to overthrow elected government.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will also win Senate elections. Government is stable and threats from opposition do not hold any importance, he added.
On the other hand, Raja Basharat said that government is taking practical steps to provide relief to masses. He also urged opposition to stop holding protests and rallies in the country because whole nation has confidence in leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
