Chairman Senate constitutes committee to probe into the installation of secret cameras in Senate

ISLAMABAD, April 08 : Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has constituted a 7-member committee to probe into the matter of installation of secret cameras in the Senate hall on the occasion of election of chairman and deputy chairman Senate and oath taking of new senators on March 12.
The committee comprises representatives of government and opposition. This committee will present its report within a month and will fix the responsibility as well.
The committee has been empowered to elect its chairman out of its 7 members.
The members of committee are Sikandar Mandrio from PPP, Federal minister Azam Khan Swati from PTI, Rana Maqbool from PML-N, Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti from Balochistan Awami Party, senator Talha Mehmood from JUI-F and independent senator Hidayat Ullah.
It may be mentioned that secret cameras were installed in Senate hall on the occasion of election of chairman and deputy chairman and oath taking of newly elected senators on March 12. The opposition had voiced strong protest against it. The government and opposition had shifted responsibility on each other.
