Pandemic may surge abruptly at the End of Ramadan: Asad Umar

Islamabad – April 13 (Online): Federal Minister for Planning and Works, and the NCOC Head Asad Umar Tuesday said that carelessness may lead us to sudden increase in Coronavirus cases during the last ‘Ashra’ (Last ten days) of Holy month Ramadan.
The Minister, while addressing Press Conference said that hopefully nationwide vaccination will begin after Eid. There is a difference between demand and supply of vaccine across the globe. Europe is also considering importing vaccine. We have more than 9 lac of vaccine doses in the bag right now, revealed Asad.
Asad Umar, while complaining about non-compliance of SOPs said that perhaps people don’t fear consequences anymore. People visit bazaars and markets at the end of Ramadan and their carelessness may lead to alarming increase in Coronavirus’ cases. I am the head of NCOC but waiting for my turn to get vaccinated, said the Federal Minister.
