PM discusses Pakistan’s security situation and TLP Issue with COAS and DG ISI



Islamabad April 13 (Online): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday discussed the country’s security situation with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The sources said that the meeting comes a day after violence broke out in several cities of Pakistan as a religious party took to the streets to organize a protest against the arrest of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan cleric Allama Saad Rizvi.
In some areas of the city, protestors clashed with police personnel, burnt tyres and pelted stones as well.
The protests have continued on Tuesday for a second day as well, but are limited to certain areas. The majority of the demonstrations are taking place in Lahore
The duo also exchanged views on professional developments and capabilities of Pakistan Armed forces. The Prime Minister, during the meeting, directed all possible measures to control violent protests from parts of the country to ease common public.
