Canadian PM Justin Trudeau wishes Muslims a happy Ramadan

Ontario – April 14 (Online): Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on Tuesday morning wished Muslims a very happy Ramadan.
Taking to Twitter, the Canadian PM shared a video message in which he said that while COVID-19 may keep people from gathering in person this Ramadan, it can’t stop Muslims from celebrating the values at the heart of Islam.
“To everyone doing that at home and online, Sophie and I are wishing you peace and happiness. Ramadan Mubarak!” PM Trudeau wrote.
He further said that some people [belonging to the Islamic faith] would be working as frontline and essential workers while fasting, while others will be feeling alone and isolated.
“I know this is difficult, but while the pandemic may keep us from being together in person, it won’t stop us from celebrating the values at the heart of Islam and Ramadan,” he said.
