No group can be allowed to hold the state hostage: Sheikh Rashid Ahmad
RAWALPINDI, April 16 (ONLINE): Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said no group can be allowed to hold the state hostage.
“No group can be allowed to hold the state hostage. Officers and Jawans of Police and Rangers faced the violent acts from the workers of proscribed outfit with restraint”, he said this during his visit to Combined Military Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi while inquiring about the health of the Police and Rangers personnel who were injured during the violence by banned outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) workers.
He paid tribute to the Rangers jawans and police personnel on their professional matters. The law enforcement agencies did great job with reference to peace and security. They showed valor and courage in maintaining law and order situation.
