ISLAMABAD, April 19 : Pressure is piling up tremendously on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in view of situation arising out of imposition of ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and several PTI and several federal and provincial ministers, PTI legislators and others have demanded of PM to withdraw the decision of banning TLP besides resolving the matter through dialogue.
The PTI members of assemblies have asked PM this is highly sensitive issue and the rivals can inflict political harm on PTI by playing religious card in next general election. The people of their respective constituencies are extremely displeased over this decision of government, therefore, it should be reviewed forthwith.
A PTI delegation of members of assembly have held two meetings with PM Imran Khan under Ali Muhammad Khan on the issue of imposition of ban on TLP.
The members of assembly have made it clear that the other religious parties are also expressing solidarity with TLP. If any delay is made in withdrawing the decision of ban on TLP then it will yield no positive results. The decision for banning TLP was taken on emotional basis. The announcement for banning TLP was made before placing the summary in cabinet.
Sources said that PTI leader Ali Muhammad while giving indication to resign from PTI that if the decision on banning TLP is not taken back immediately then several members of assembly are ready to resign from membership of assembly and quit the PTI.
