Implementation of court order: DG FIA should decide either he has to comply with court’s order or presidential order: CJP

ISLAMABAD, April 20 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the implementation report filed by FIA in respect of 60 inspectors who were appointed in 1990.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmad while presiding over a 2-member bench of SC rejected the implementation report during the course of hearing of the case Tuesday.

The CJP reprimanded the DG FIA remarking DG FIA should decide either ha has to comply with court’s order or presidential order. If DG has to serve president then he should go and serve him. If he has to serve the law then implement the court’s decision.

During the hearing of the case counsel for FIA told the court implementation report on court’s decision has been filed.

The CJP inquired why there are no signs of DG FIA on the report.
DG FIA Wajid Zia who was present in the court signed the report.

The CJP while addressing DG FIA Wajid Zia remarked “ you have done all under presidential order then court’s order has gone where. FIA appointed all the people in defiance of court’s orders. Counsel for FIA should sit with DG FIA and see the decision again.

Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan remarked implement the SC decision.

The court ordered FIA to file new implementation report within a week besides adjourning the hearing of the case till next week.
