ISLAMABAD, April 21 The efforts of PDM head Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman to re-unify the opposition alliance have not proved fruitful so far as the two major opposition parties PPP and ANP which have resigned from the alliance have not given any reply to Maulana Fazl request for reviewing the matter of their resignations.

Maualana Fazl ur Rehman in earlier meeting of PDM had requested these two parties to review their decision and return to folds of PDM. But no contact between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the leadership of both the major parties has been made so far nor have they given reply to Maulana Fazl appeal. Maulana awaits their return to the folds of PDM.

The other sources said PML-N does not support return of PPP and ANP to PDM ranks as it has come up with the stance that these two parties have caused harm to PDM and joined hands with the government, therefore, they should not be allowed to rejoin PDM unless they apologize.

On the other hand Maulana Fazl ur Rehman is striving hard that these two parties rejoin the folds of PDM
