IHC orders Islamabad police to recover 16 years old missing girl within a week

ISLAMABAD, April 28 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered Islamabad police to recover within 7 days one Tahira, 16 who has gone missing.

The court while issuing show cause notice to SSP Atta ur Rehman has sought reply from him within seven days.
The case came up for hearing before IHC single bench led by Justice Amir Farooq Wednesday.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked if the reply is not filed within seven days the he will initiate contempt of court proceedings. “ Mr SSP have you filed the reply.

The court while expressing annoyance over non filing of reply remarked “ you don’t know reply is not filed in high court this way. Are you appearing in the court for the first time. You have remained where before this.

SSP replied he has remained posted in Faisalabad. He has been appearing in the court.

The court remarked as to why the show cause notice should not be issued to you that as to why my decision has not been implemented.

SSP replied “ I respect the courts highly.

DIG Operations sought time for one month on this occasion saying they will try their best.

The court remarked “ good should not I give one year time. . All the Islamabad Police personnel are here to enjoy leave. Some one is from KP and some one is from Punjab. Give responsible statement. It should be placed in the papers that effort has been made.

DIG told the court we will try our best for recovering the daughter as our daughter.

The court remarked “do the job for what you are paid.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for one week.
