Fake accounts case: AC fixes for hearing fifth reference against Asif Ali Zardari


ISLAMABAD, APRIL 29 (Online): Accountability Court (AC) has fixed for hearing fifth reference against former president Asif Ali Zardari in fake accounts case.

The court has summoned Asif Zardari in connection with fake transaction of Rs 8 billion.

Judge Asghar Ali has issued summons of Asif Zardari and stenographer. The accused named in the reference including Asif Ali Zardari and stenographer Mushtaq have been summoned on May 20.

It has been said in the reference there is solid evidence that Asif Zardari built his home in Clifton through corruption. The payment was made by stenographer of Asif Zardari to purchase the home located in Clifton Karachi.

It was further said in the reference that payment amounting to Rs 150 million was made from the bank account of Stenographer Mushtaq to purchase this home. Asif Ali Zardari could not provide any evidence that the home was purchased by him.
