FM launches ‘Share Pakistan Portal’ in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, May 17 (Online): Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has assured to better equip the diplomatic services to respond to new realities and challenges of modern world.
He made the remarks while launching Share Pakistan Portal in Islamabad on Wednesday which aims to make the structure and function of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its missions abroad more robust, modern and dynamic.
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistan’s able diplomats remain our most valuable asset.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we have started the Change Management initiative as a commitment to improving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ability to effectively deliver on its mandate through management reforms. In this regard, he pointed out that he also commissioned a team of experts to brainstorm a number of reforms in diverse functions including human resource, finance, logistics, communications, consular services, protocol and community services.
As regards Share Pakistan Portal, the Foreign Minister said it will serve as a digital repository of outreach and public diplomacy activities undertaken by our missions abroad. With this online standardized information system, he said we will be able to communicate the impact of public diplomacy initiatives in pursuance of Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the portal is designed to simplify communication and sharing of information in public diplomacy domain between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions abroad. He was confident that this will bring efficiency and transparency in our various public diplomacy initiatives.
He said a comprehensive report will also be launched on our change management initiative that will further address transforming our diplomatic services.
In her remarks on the occasion, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said development of Share Pakistan portal demonstrates the Ministry’s continuous strive towards modernization and effective communication.
