46 succumbed to COVID-19 during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, JUNE 16 (Online): 46 casualties were reported and 1038 people tested positive due to coronavirus in Pakistan on Wednesday.

According to National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) 42113 tests were conducted during 24 hours and among them 1038 tested positive taking the total number of positive cases to 944,065.
This way the rate of positive cases stood 2.46 percent in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases declined to 2.46 percent.

46 fatalities were reported taking the tally of death to 21828 all over the country.

The number of active cases dropped to less than 40,000. As many as 882,332 people have recovered from the virus so far.
A province-wise breakdown shows that 13,427 coronavirus cases are active in Punjab, 13,992 in Sindh, 8,519 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,188 in Balochistan, 4,170 in Islamabad, 492 in Azad Kashmir, and 325 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
