ISLAMABAD, June 16 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar have agreed on launching stern action and banning their entry into the house of the treasury and opposition members who were found involved in violating rules and regulations of National Assembly (NA).

PM said ensuring the sanctity of house is responsibility of the government and indiscriminate action be taken against those who have trampled the sanctity of the house.

Speaker NA Asad Qaisar called on PM Wednesday and gave him detailed briefing on the untoward incident which took place in NA.

He also took the PM into confidence on banning the entry and initiation of stern action by him against those who were found involved in violating the sanctity of the house.

PM Imran Khan expressed sorrow over the untoward incident and directed the speaker NA to run the house impartially as per rules and regulations. Action should be taken indiscriminately against those who defied the sanctity of the house to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.

“ Maintaining the sanctity of the house is prime responsibility of the government, PM said adding he is much grieved over the incident which took place in NA a day before. It pained me more that ruling party members of assembly and ministers are also among those who had violated the sanctity of the house. What job was to be done by the opposition members was being done by treasury benches, he held. This incident has brought humiliation for Pakistan in the world, he remarked.
