ISLAMABAD, July 26 (Online): Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said trees will have to be planted in maximum number in the country to avoid global warming.
“If every Pakistani plants one tree each then it will be a major revolution:, he said this while launching countrywide monsoon plantation drive in Islamabad on Monday.

“Tree plantation is must for reduction in pollution. I want every Pakistani should take part whole heartedly in tree plantation campaign”, he added

He went on to say we have to leave a better Pakistan for coming generations. The world has lauded our ten billion trees target. Trees will have to be planted in maximum number to avert global warming.

He regretted that no one focused on planting trees in the past. No place should be left empty in our cities and saplings be planted at every empty place. The British had also grown forests here despite the fact they had come from outside.

“We are launching autumn tree plantation drive. 10 billion trees will be planted all over the country like KP, he underscored.
