ISLAMABAD, August 04 (Online): The petition seeking enforcement of presidential system in the country will come up for hearing before the Supreme Court (SC) today (Thursday).
The petition has been fixed for hearing.
The senior judge of SC Umar Ata Bandial will hear the petition in chambers.
The court has issued notice to the respondents. Three petitions pertaining to presidential system are already fixed for hearing.
In the previous four petitions, the court has been prayed to order for holding referendum on presidential system.
The petitioners including Chaudhry Hafiz ur Rehman, Ahmad Raza Kasuri, Dr Sadiq Ali and Tahir Aziz have already filed petitions seeking enforcement of presidential system in the country. They have requested the court to order for holding referendum on the matter of presidential system.
