FM writes letters to UN secretary general, security council on completion of 2 years of Indian unilateral steps


ISLAMABAD, AUG 04 (Online): Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has written letters to UN Security Council and UN Secretary General following the completion of two years of Indian unilateral illegal steps in Occupied Kashmir and black laws.

He said in his letters that India took steps based on sheer falsehood on August 5 to strengthen Indian illegal occupation of the disputed territory of Occupied Kashmir. Indian steps are aimed at fortifying illegal imperialistic occupation.

It is all being done to change the demography of occupied Kashmir, electoral limits of the region and stop Kashmiri Muslims from waging struggle against Indian illegal occupation of Occupied Kashmir, he held.

He reiterated that Pakistan categorically rejects all the unilateral steps taken by Indian. Indian steps run contrary to the resolutions adopted by UN Security Council , international laws and 4th Geneva Convention India has deployed 9 lac security personnel in Occupied Kashmir. This moves aims at imposition of curfew, lock down, imprisoning Kashmiri leadership, taking Kashmiri youths into custody and subjecting them to violence and perpetrating extra judicial killing.

He further said in the letter pallet guns are used and the villages are subjected to Jalao and gherao. India finances terrorists and terrorism against Pakistan. UN Security council should urge India to stop terrorism and sabotage against Pakistan, he stressed.

The Kashmir issue be addressed as per UN resolutions and aspirations of people of Kashmir, he added. Kashmir issue should be resolved to ensure lasting peace in South Asia, he remarked.

India should come for result oriented and constructive negotiations in this regard, he held. India should withdraw its illegal steps, he added.
