Pakistan renders sacrifice of 70000 lives in war on terror but no books has been authored on its sacrifices: Fawad Chaudhry


ISLAMABAD, August 10 (Online): Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said Pakistan has rendered sacrifices of 70000 lives in the war on terror but no book has been authored on Pakistan sacrifices.

“No book has been authored on our sacrifices in war on terror while we have rendered sacrifices of 70000 lives in this war. We will have to present our stance before the world besides placing focus on digital media, he said this while addressing participants of National Media workshop at National Defence University here Tuesday.

He went on to say media scope has been extended to considerable extent. Today digital media advertising has reached the level of Rs 25 billion while face book and Google did advertisement business of Rs 7.5 billion. The trend is changing.

He pointed out that media technology university is being set up for the first time in the country and 1500 internship will be provided in the media. Due to entry of technology in media some jobs stood dispensed with while some were created.

He held that digital cable policy has been approved for cable operators and loans will be extended to cable operators under Kamyab Jawan Program.
