Writing letter by government to high court is unconstitutional: Shahbaz Sharif


LAHORE, AUGUST 16 (Online): PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif has alleged government is influencing the cases as writing letter by the government to high court is unconstitutional.

He said this while talking to media men Monday on the occasion of his appearance in banking court.

He held federal government does not know the judiciary has a separate role. How can government dare to ask the chief justice that he is authorized to make transfers.

This is peak of political revenge that 2 cases of the same nature are running in two separate courts. The leaders and the workers were behaved in insulting way in the name of security.

The hearing of bail applications of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz in the alleged financial scandal was adjourned till September 04 due to non appearance of the lawyer.

Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz appeared in banking court Monday. The police outside the court prevented the lawyers accompanying the PML-N leaders from entering into the court. The lawyers protested over it.

Amjid Pervez , counsel for Shahbaz Sharif did not appear in the court. The hearing of the case was adjourned on the adjournment request from his junior lawyers..

The court while extending the interim bail of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Sharif till September 04 summoned the report from the investigation officer on next hearing.

Money laundering, Ramzan Sugar mills and Ashiana references also came up for hearing in Accountability court Lahore. Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz and other suspects appeared in the court.

The court adjourned the hearing of the cases till September 16.
