ISLAMABAD, August 23 (ONLINE): President Arif Alvi has said Pakistan attaches much importance to its bilateral ties with Australia.
President said this while talking to High Commissioner Designate of Pakistan to Australia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri here on Monday.
He held Pakistan wants to further strengthen cooperation with Australia in all the areas of mutual interest.
There is need to promote bilateral cooperation in the sectors of education and professional training for the socio economic development of Pakistan , he stressed.
There is wide scope of bolstering trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Australia, he said adding Pakistan wants to beef up bilateral cooperation with Australia in diverse sectors particularly agriculture, commerce, mining and information technology..
Pakistan adopted business friendly policies, he remarked. It shifted its focus from geographical politics to geo economics.
He said that designated high commissioner in Australia should work for the facilities and welfare of Pakistan nationals in Australia.
