The meeting decided to review the proceedings of the Malam Jabba case in accordance with the law in the light of certified copies of the decision of the Peshawar High Court.
The meeting approved the investigation against the officers / officials of Bank of Khyber Peshawar and others for allegedly recruiting illegally in violation of rules and regulations.
Approval of inquiries against Ameer Maqam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Capt. (Retd) Mohammad Safdar and Prime Minister for allegedly creating assets in excess of income.
The progress so far on the ongoing investigations against the Billion Tree Tsunami case, Nawabzada Mahmood Zeb and others, Usman Saifullah and others has been reviewed.
NAB is making serious efforts to eradicate corruption from the country and for a corruption-free Pakistan, steps should be taken in accordance with the law to arrest fugitives and notorious criminals, Justice Javed Iqbal addressed the meeting.

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was held under the chairmanship of Justice Javed Iqbal at NAB headquarters in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman NAB, Prosecutor General Accountability NAB, DG Operations NAB, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended the meeting via video link. It is the long-standing policy of the NAB to provide details of the meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau to the public, a method that has been in place for many years without the intention of offending anyone. All inquiries and investigations have been launched on the basis of alleged allegations which are not conclusive. According to the NAB law, it also decides whether to take further action after ascertaining the position of all concerned persons. It was decided to review the proceedings in the case in accordance with the law. The meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau approved the investigation against the officers / officers of Bank of Khyber Peshawar and others for allegedly recruiting illegally in violation of rules and regulations. (Retd) Mohammad Safdar and Prime Minister Wazir for allegedly making assets in excess of income and ongoing investigations against Billion Tree Tsunami case, Nawabzada Mahmood Zeb and others, Usman Saifullah and others. It was decided at the meeting that all inquiries should be conducted in accordance with the law in an independent, fair, transparent, merit and solid manner and their views should be sought from all concerned in accordance with the law. Can meet the requirements of Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice Javed Iqbal said that NAB is making very serious efforts for eradication of corruption from the country and for a corruption free Pakistan as bringing mega corruption cases to a logical conclusion is not only the top priority of NAB but all for it. Resources are being utilized. Under the Accountability for All policy, NAB has recovered Rs. 466 billion directly and indirectly from corrupt elements and deposited it in the national exchequer, which is a record achievement. He said that it was a matter of honor for NAB. He said that NAB was not affiliated with any political party, group or individual but only with the state of Pakistan. He directed that steps be taken in accordance with the law to arrest the fugitives and notorious criminals so that the corrupt elements could be brought to justice where the law would make its own way. The Chairman NAB directed that the investigation of complaints, inquiries and investigations should be brought to a logical conclusion in accordance with the law within the stipulated time and all the investigating officers and prosecutors should be fully prepared, with solid evidence and in accordance with law.
