Shahbaz consults opposition in a bid to contain govt

Islamabad – November 15 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition leader at National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif has started establishing contacts with other opposition heavy-weights to discuss anti-government strategy inside and outside the parliament.
According to well-placed sources, Shahbaz Sharif on Monday contacted Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F and PDM head Maulan Fazlurehman, Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Sherpao and head of Balochistan National Party (BNP) Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal and other imperative opposition figures.
Sources added that Shahbaz consulted prominent opposition leaders about overall political situation of country and admired joint efforts of opposition parties to contain government inside parliament.
Shahbaz Sharif said that opposition parties showed unprecedented unity and confidence to protect the public interest. The principled stance of opposition parties provoked government to step back from its intuitions, he added.
Opposition leader during his telephonic conversations with other opposition leader hoped that joint opposition would show same energy and unity during upcoming sessions of parliament to haunt government’s ‘illegal legislations’.
