Punjab govt decides to file official reference against a judge for facilitating terrorists

LAHORE, May 19 (Online): Punjab government has decided to file official reference against a judge for facilitating terrorists.

The decision was taken in a meeting held here under Care taker Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Mohsin Naqvi here Friday.
The meeting reviewed headway made with reference to initiation of legal proceedings against the terrorists.

The meeting also accorded approval to give cash awards to the people for identifying real culprits involved in terrorist attacks.

The participants of meeting expressed concern over illegal facilitation of the persons nominated in attack on ISI office.

Decision was taken to file official reference against a judge for facilitating extraordinarily the terrorists.
It was decided that decision regarding illegal facilitation of those nominated in attack will be challenged.
Facilitation of nominated accused is tantamount to murder of justice.

Care taker CM Mohsin Naqvi while directing to pursue vigorously the cases registered against miscreants asked the respective commissioners and RPOs to hold meeting daily to review the prosecution process.

He directed that the arrest of the absconding miscreants should be ensured as soon as possible. Those involved in attacks on army installations and public properties don’t deserve for any concession.

He said May 09 is dark chapter of the history of Pakistan when terror acts were committed to serve nefarious designs.

The meeting was briefed that identification and arrests of the accused are being ensured through geo fencing, human intelligence, social media and NADRA. Irrefutable evidences are coming to fore about telephonic contacts with top leadership.

628 calls of contacts with top leadership have been traced in Lahore.

The meeting was attended by provincial caretaker information minister Amir Mir, chief secretary, IG Police, Additional IG Special Branch, Additional chief secretary, law secretary, CCPO Lahore, additional chief secretary interior, commissioner Lahore division, additional IG CTD, IG Jails, chief operating officer Punjab safe city authorities and respective authorities.
Divisional commissioners and RPOs participated in the meeting through video link.
