ISLAMABAD, May 19 (Online): Attorney General (AG) Mansoor Usman has said no one can defeat court’s writ.
“Arrests made by Punjab police is provincial subject. Punjab government issued orders under 3-MPO. The court has to make review of legal status of provincial government orders. The federal police is bound to give access to accused in such cases under criminal procedure and police rules, he said this while talking to media men in Islamabad High Court here Friday.
Government tried too much for talks. PTI was brought to negotiating table after too much efforts. The dialogue was suspended by PTI. We informed supreme court we want to continue dialogue as consensus had developed on too many things.
