Babar Azam hopes a new season with series win over WI

Pakistan men’s cricket team’s captain Babar Azam said on Tuesday his team is eying to start new season with a series win over West Indies, as the Windies are set to play ODI series in Pakistan this June.

Talking to media on Tuesday, the men’s national team’s skipper said it is never easy to play cricket in hot weather. He said Pakistan’s tour to Sri Lanka will be of prime importance once the green shirts are done with the Windies.

“We have a long season ahead. We have to play England, the ICC T20I World Cup, and then a full fledge series with New Zealand,” Babar said.

“As a captain and a team, everyone in the camp wants to resume the newly starting season with same passion, zeal and performance,” he maintained.

Babar Azam clarified in his presser that his personal motive is always to play innings that would help team.

“Planning is very important to perform in different conditions. I always try to remain calm walking into the ground,” Babar added.
