Several Indian soldiers injured in Shopian blast

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, several Indian soldiers were injured in an explosion in Shopian district, Thursday.

The explosion took place inside a private vehicle, which was hired by Indian troops in Sedow area of the district, police said.

A police spokesman, while confirming the development, said that it was being investigated whether the blast occurred due to grenade or IED planted inside the vehicle or malfunctioning of battery, adding the injured soldiers have been hospitalised.

The three injured soldiers, belonging to the 15 Garhwal, were identified as Ajab Singh, Parveen Singh and Pawan Rawat, who were shifted to 92 Base Indian Army Hospital, Srinagar, the report said.
