IESCO founds 11.6 million corruption

ISLAMABAD 21 May (Online): Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has found 11.6 billion corruption and recovery has been handed over to federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from involved transport manager.

Document issued by Auditor General said corruption allegation were found on Transport manager Zulqurnan and clerk Arif of field staff of IESCO sport directorate. Committee was made to investigate the issue. Later Committee made both manager and clerk responsible and recommended the recovery and termination of both officials.

No departmental action was taken against both employees.
Later on both accused approached to Islamabad High Court against committee’s recommendation and on no relief accused approached to Supreme Court of Pakistan where case is on hearing.
Public Accounts Committee in this regard handed over the case to FIA due to failure of implementations of orders.
